The radish is actually the root of a plant in the mustard family. Though sometimes white, the classic radish has a rich red colored skin and crisp white flesh.

Often used as a garnish and eaten in salads, radishes are popular with both the Latin and Asian poulations here in Southern California, and are a stple in traditional American cooking as well.

Tavilla sources most of our radishes from the midwest and Florida, importing a small percentage from Mexico.
